Each marble top is unique

Marble is created when limestone is under enormous pressure for thousands of years and is subjected to temperature differences. It is a natural process and therefore each sheet is unique. Marble slabs are sawn from large chunks of marble. These marble plants have many similarities because they originated in the same place, but they are all different. Because there are differences, we offer our customers the opportunity to receive a photo of a marble top before we deliver the marble table. That photo gives a very good impression of the marble. And if you don't like the marble top? Then we will do our best to propose an alternative marble top.

A round dining table is timeless and always popular. This is because a round table has many advantages. Round is a friendly shape and you do not have to worry about sharp corners that you can bump into. In addition, a round table fits into any interior and every meal feels intimate. Cozy in the corner or in the middle of a room, with a round table you can go in all directions!

Beveled finished edges

We supply round tables in marble and in lacquered MDF. In both cases, the edges are round and facetted. This gives our round tables an even more stylish appearance. Compare it to round tables with a hard, non-facetted edge.

View our collection of oval dining tables here. There is a choice between marble tops or mdf tops. In addition, we have different sizes to choose from: 180x110 cm, 200x120 cm, 225x120 cm and even 250x120 cm. All oval tables are delivered with a beautiful matte table leg.

Oval, the perfect compromise between round and rectangular.

It is common that there are different opinions about the shape of the table. One person would like a round top, while another would prefer a rectangular one. An oval table is the perfect compromise between 'camp round' and 'camp rectangular'. Oval is a friendly shape and has the advantage that you do not have to deal with sharp corners that you can bump into. And of course it looks great in any interior.

Would you prefer a plain matt white top or a marble top?

The shape of a table is very important in your interior, but so is the material of the table. White brings peace and ensures that flowers and accessories stand out beautifully. Black, on the other hand, gives something truly unique and makes every room special. Marble is an eye-catcher in itself. Our oval dining table tops are available in both materials. Oval tables are currently incredibly popular. Moreover, they are very practical in narrow spaces.

White as the base colour of your interior

As Jan de Bouvrie knew well, white is the best colour in an interior. “It supports art, flowers and people themselves. And most importantly: it brings air.” Our MDF tables have a matt white finish. This creates calm and space. The edges of the tables are bevelled, giving a light and floating effect. The tables are suitable for both home and office. The strong matt coating on the top and base gives a wonderfully luxurious look and makes the table durable.

Which shade of white are the tables?

The standard colour we use for both our white tabletops and table bases is RAL 9016. This is currently the most popular shade of white in the interior world. It is whiter than the traditionally used RAL 9010, and just a touch softer than hard pure (signal) white.

How matt or glossy is the white?

If you measure our finish on a scale from 0 (matt) to 10 (glossy), you land on 3-4. More towards matt, but not so matt that it becomes rough. A better term would be matt satin. Matte black is the trend

Matt black is the interior colour of the moment. Whether you are looking for a new door, a new tap or a new table, matt black items are a popular option. Black feels tough and chic at the same time. O ur MDF tables have a matt finish. This creates peace and space. The edges of the tables are facet cut, which gives a light and floating effect. The tables are suitable for both home and office use. The strong matt coating on the top and on the leg gives a wonderfully luxurious look.

How sensitive are black tables?

Black is a tricky colour when it comes to dust, stains and scratches. Especially in daylight you can see everything on it. This also applies to small scratches that occur through normal use. That is why we have chosen to provide all black tables with a matt finish. This gives the table a bit more shine, but the table is therefore extremely resistant to scratches, stains and dirt!

A tulip table is an oval or round table with an elegant base in the middle. There are many different variations of the tulip table available. There are (small) differences in design and material. There are also different types of tulip tables; there are tulip dining tables, coffee tables and side tables. The tables all have in common that they are inspired by the legendary design of Finnish designer and architect Eero Saarinen.

History of the tulip table

The original tulip table was designed in the 1950s. This was done by designer Eero Saarinen on behalf of the American company Knoll. Eero Saarinen was bothered by the jumble of legs of tables and chairs under 'normal' dining tables. Flute dining tables therefore have only one table leg instead of four. The same applies to the chairs he designed later. These, like the tulip dining table, have only one chair leg instead of four.

Marmeren Flute has its own collection of tulip tables. We focus on tulip dining tables and therefore do not offer tulip coffee or side tables. We supply our tulip tables in small sizes from approximately 100 cm to our largest table of 235 cm. The top of our tulip tables is relatively thin at 20 to 25 mm. You have all the space underneath to place your dining room chairs. You are completely free to determine the chair layout around the dining table, also because there is only one table leg.

Dining at a tulip dining table

A tulip dining table is made for eating, that much is clear. If the company asks for it, you can easily accommodate and place extra chairs around the tulip dining table. So feel free to invite a large group of guests. They will compliment you on your new tulip dining table. It is an absolute eye-catcher in any interior. The oval dining tables are at least 110 cm deep. So you have the space to really go all out. A beautiful vase, wine cooler or fresh pan of food will not quickly get in the way.
